PREPARATION OF THE ENAMEL

The enamel consists exclusively of minerals, which are 100% natural (such as: silica, borax, feldspar, cryolite, fluorspar) mixed and combined by fusion at temperatures of approximately 1300°C, then cooled suddenly to cause shattering into fine particles or blades, known as frits.

These frits are the raw material for the company.

When mixed with water, salts and clay, the frits are ground finely at the factory in casks to form a homogeneous and semi-fluid mixture called slurry (paste).
