Three steps to create a sign for Pathé
Pubemail Collection
You can see here three pictures showing steps for the creation of this sign Pathé,
done with stencils in the years 1925. This sign is very heavy and the enamel is very thick.
It comes from Emaillerie Japy.

On this first photo you can see the sign that has been to the
kiln for the third time. The first burning was for the protective coating that protects the metal and
allows the couloured enamel to adhere perfectly. The second one was for the white enamel and the third
for the orange that forms the box.

Now, red enamel has been applied to complete the box and to reveal the word 'Pathé' in
negative white (that is to say red coulour is raised in comparison with white). The cockerel appears
as well as the border of the sign (in positive). This is the fourth burning.

Finaly, the black enamel completes the sign by revealing
the texts. This is now the fifth and last burning of the sign.
